Akwa Ibom Senators want FG to reopen international airport in Uyo

Senators from Akwa Ibom State have pleaded with the Federal Government to include Akwa Ibom airport among the five international airports meant to be opened on June 21st. Senator Albert Bassey Akpan, speaking on behalf of two others from the State revealed that about 105 aircraft fly in and out of the airport weekly. Amidst COVID-19 lockdown, Nigeria sees increased sexual and gender violence

Twenty-two-year-old Halima Bulama had just returned from the marriage ceremony of her relation mid-April in Kasaisa community in Damaturu, Yobe State, in northeast Nigeria when her husband, 22-year-old Ba’ari Abacha, in a fit of rage attacked her. Demolished hotel owner, manager convicted by Court

A Magistrates Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has founded guilty the owner of the destroyed Prodest Hotel in Eleme, Gogorobari Needam and his manager, Bariledum Azoroh over defiance of state government’s COVID-19 lockdown order.The Court also fined the parties N50,000 each for contravening Guv Nyesom Wike’s Executive Order.
