How Rwanda is spurring a generation of women in technology

Rwanda is renowned as a pioneer of gender equality. In 2020, it was the only African country ranked in the top 10 of the World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Report. It ranked in the top four in the Report’s political empowerment category, in recognition of the high proportion of Rwandese women lawmakers and ministers. Marriott ordered by Trump administration to close hotel in Cuba

President Trump orders the Marriott International Company, the only U.S. company to run hotel in Cuba to close its Four Points Sheraton in Havana and wind down its operations by August 31. The hotel operator had received notice its government-issued license would not be renewed, a company spokeswoman said. Cuba and Jamaica Could be the First Countries to end Their National COVID-19 Outbreaks

Jamaica and Cuba are two Caribbean countries that are close to ending their respective national COVID-19 outbreaks. The International volunteer coalition, End Covid-19 listed the two countries recently. End Covid-19 compiled data from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and John Hopkins University, before they listed the Caribbean islands among the 32 countries that seem to have done exceptionally well to control the spread of the covid-19, as they are close to a gradual flattening of the infection curve.
